Posey Canyon Arch Culvert Instrumentation
The report discusses the instrumentation of an 8-foot diameter reinforced concrete arch culvert under an embankment 240 feet in height. Instruments were installed to provide for measurement of: pressure at the culvert-soil interface, soil pressure within the embankment, deformation of the culvert cross-section, and rotational movement of the culvert footing. Data from periodic readings of the instrumentation are presented. These data are not analyzed in this report. (BPR abstract)
