The reporter contains a brief sketch of the Bailly-Howe Family of Porter County, Indiana and a historical sketch of the buildings in the Bailly Homestead, now a feasture of Indiana Dunes National Seashore. This is supplemented by an architectural description of the Homestead Structures as they existed in 1972 and recommendations for appropriate preservation treatment. The study also contains brief historical and architectural descriptions of the nearby Bailly Cemetery. The report is illustrated with historic and current photographs.
