The proposed action consists of the construction of a Federal building to provide space for approximately 3,000 employees of the U.S. Courts and other Federal agencies on a site to be acquired. The facility will have a gross area of approximately 1,208,175 square feet in 24 stories. A site area of 4.139 acres will provide space for the building and interior parking for 310 official, visitor and employee vehicles. Short-term, inconveniences associated with normal construction may be expected. The construction of this building may increase economic growth in the central business district and help revitalize the deteriorating fringe area.
