The report presents the findings of a study undertaken to analyze recreation needs and proffer constructive suggestions for development of recreation in the six county area of Blount, Chilton, Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair and Walker Counties in Alabama. The study encompasses recreation on both the local and regional level. This study involved an inventory and analysis of existing facilities; an analysis of existing and future recreation needs; and recommendations for improving the quality and quantity of parks, recreation and open spaces in the study area in accordance with present and future needs.
