Investigations of Cook Inlet Sockeye Salmon
Sockeye salmon research investigations were performed in the Upper Cook Inlet Area during July 1, 1974 through June 30, 1977. In the course of these investigations the commercial fishery was monitored, a means of separating stocks was evaluated, a new sonar salmon counter was developed and tested, the sockeye salmon escapement within six drainages was monitored, optimum escapement studies were conducted in two drainages, and rehabilitation and enhancement studies were performed at five lakes. A summary and recommendations for future work are included.
