A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Battle Creek-Talbot Road Section, Pacific Highway, I-5, Marion County, Oregon
Construction is proposed of a climbing lane on a Hill Section of I-5 in Marion County, Oregon. Also considered is the reconstruction of the Sunnyside-Turner interchange into a full diamond configuration, the modification of Battle Creek and North Jefferson Interchanges, and the concurrent construction of safety and pavement overlay projects. The environmental impacts would be acquisition of right-of-way, displacement of 4 residences, disruption of local and freeway traffic during construction, increased safety for freeway traffic with the addition of a truck climbing lane, increased safety, and improved visibility.
