Project F-432(2), Pickens County, Alabama, Relocation US-82, From Alabama, Mississippi State Line Easterly, to Reform, Alabama
The existing highway, U. S. 82, is a rural two lane highway with narrow shoulders and narrow bridges across all streams, particularly through the Coal Fire Creek area. The purpose of this project is to upgrade this dangerous section of highway with a new four lane divided facility, which will improve the traffic flow, as well as provide a much safer route. The proposed project will require the taking of approximately 500 to 600 acres of land as right-of-way.
