Centerline Joint Repair Using Preformed Joint Inserts, July 1996
This report compares the post-construction performance of two types of preformed joint inserts for longitudinal centerline joint repair with the performance of conventional saw-and-sea repair. Preformed insert brands tested were the Kold-Seal and Sealinsert II. By visual observation, all three systems appeared to be sealed and performing well. The area where these products were tested had a history of rapid concrete deterioration due to reactive aggregates. However, no severe distress was noticed in the repair area.
