Norton Dam is a zoned earthfill dam and is located on Prairie Dog Creek about 2.5 miles west of Norton, Kansas. An overflow concrete spillway is located on the right abutment and is controlled by three 20-foot by 36.35-foot radial gates. The features inspected during this examination were the three 30-foot by 36.35-foot radial gates of the dam spillway.
