A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
It is well known that the residual strength and modulus of concrete decrease after fire. As a result, the structural safety declines to some degree. So, the fire-damaged structures should be repaired in order to assure the safety in the future under all kinds of loads ruled by codes. It is important of the evaluation of fire-damaged R.C. structures to determine the feasibility of repair and develop the economical and suitable plan of repair. To assess the static and aseismic behavior of fire-damaged R.C. structures, studies were sponsored jointly by the National Science Committee of Natural Science Foundation and Hei Longjiang Committee of Natural Science Foundation. The studies in this thesis are part of this project.
