A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Projects SU-492(1)PE, JCT. U.S. 66-Butler Avenue T.I. S-492(2)PE, Butler Avenue T.I.-FAS 354, Flagstaff-Holbrook Highway in Coconino County, Arizona
The project is located in the east section of the city of Flagstaff. The urban portion will provide four 12-foot asphaltic concrete lanes, plus ten-foot safety lanes on both sides of this roadway, extending the overall width to 68 feet. Right of way width will generally be 200 feet with flaring as required for bridge and crossover structures. The construction of this Federal-aided Secondary State Highway will benefit both the business and private sectors of the Flagstaff community, and access from the southeast areas for logging trucks by which they can bypass the congested downtown business streets on their way to the lumber mills.
