Prince William Forest Park: Collection Management Plan
The Collection Management Plan (CMP) for Prince William Forest Park (PRWI) is the fourth in a series of nine plans for the National Capital Region (NCR). The plan analyzes the collection from a curatorial viewpoint and makes recommendations for improving the care of collections. The collection management plan addresses the following needs: future growth of the collection; potential for archeological collections; disposition of field finds; revision of Scope of Collection Statement; on-site collection storage conditions (current and future); conditions for future exhibits in the new Visitor Center; deaccessioning guidelines; museum records-keeping backlog; and curatorial staffing needs.
