Comprehensive Plan for Berkeley, Missouri
The report is the compilation of a survey and analysis of a suburban municipality within a metropolitan area. Berkeley evolved from a rural area into a suburban residential and industrial community. Extensive residential development during the housing boom of the 1950's has resulted in the depletion of land available for further residential growth. Methods necessary to make use of the community's greatest potential--available land for industrial expansion--are presented, as well as guidelines for development and future growth of the community.
