Volume 5 of a five volume technical report includes four studies. The first, on publicly assisted housing, presents an overview of how federal housing programs have been utilized in Florida. The second, on 'local government responses to public housing needs', is an inquiry into the adequacy of the state's current role in encouraging public housing programs. The third, 'a suggested housing program, provides several avenues for state involvement in housing. The fourth, gives a sketch of the policy environment, a summary of other states' strategies and an assessment of their outputs and resources; and reviews the character of housing problems in Florida with suggested strategies to meet these problems.
