Housing in Florida 1975. Volume I
The report outlines the current housing conditions in the State and projects housing needs through 1985. Florida will need to provide 2.1 million additional housing units by 1985 in order to keep pace with population growth, replace anticipated losses in the housing supply and maintain an adequate number of vacant units. In order to reach the goal of elimination of substandard housing, it will be necessary to remove 166,000 substandard units by 1985. The report is divided into the following six major sections: housing supply, household income, component costs, production requirements, subsidized housing, and the mortgage market.
