Dynamics simulation of crawler excavator over obstacle based on Recurdyn
Crawler excavators often work on uneven road surface, and need to cross obstacles when driving, thus being subject to the impact load from obstacles, which leads to the fatigue damage of excavator structural parts. Therefore, it is very necessary to study the dynamics of excavator obstacles for the reliable design of excavator structural parts. Based on Recurdyn dynamics software, the dynamic characteristics of unilateral and bilateral excavator obstacle crossing are studied. The results show that in the vertical displacement of the whole machine, the bilateral barrier is 2.09 times of the unilateral obstacle; in the horizontal impact load, 3.18 times of the bilateral obstacle; in the vertical impact load, 1.08 times of the unilateral obstacle.
