Near Edge X-Ray Absorption Fine Structure (NEXAFS) of Molecules Adsorbed on Surfaces
Abstract In NEXAFS studies of adsorbed molecular species the number of allowed resonances, their degeneracy and polarisation dependence can be predicted by reference to the m.o. scheme and by consideration of the effective symmetry of the molecule and its immediate environment.
