The Characteristics of Traffic Operation in High Altitude Areas
Researching on the traffic safety operation in high altitude areas is the basis for carrying out several key technologies and overcoming difficulties such as vehicle performance, drivers’ psychological and physiological changes, and highway safety design technology. Based on G214 and G109 in Qinghai and Tibet, analyzing the distribution characteristics of road traffic accidents, traffic flow operation characteristics, and the correlation between traffic accidents and the special environment of the plateau carried out in this chapter. In addition, a high altitude area road traffic accident prediction model was established, and grading standards for high altitude freeway traffic safety service levels confirmed.
