Erection and floating of the 'Kosicka' Bridge in Bratislava
The paper briefly describes the erection and floating of the 'Kosicka' Bridge into its final position across Danube River This steel arch bridge of span 231 m and weight 5200 t was assembled on the left bank of the river and the completed superstructure was transported on a pontoon across Danube to the final position. Details about special temporary steel structures, designed to support the bridge superstructure during all steps of the erection, are also given.
