The invention discloses a special light microsphere for stone paper. The special light microsphere is characterized by being a ceramic microsphere an inner core of which is in a loose whisker structure and a housing of which is of a ceramic phase, wherein the ceramic microsphere is formed by coating coal gangue with composite porcelain clay by virtue of sintering; the special light microsphere comprises the following components in parts by weight: 75-85 parts of the coal gangue and 15-25 parts of the composite porcelain clay, wherein the composite porcelain clay comprises kaolin, bentonite, quartz and zinc oxide whiskers; the light microsphere is formed by coating the coal gangue with the composite porcelain clay by virtue of the sintering, wherein the inner core is in the mesh whisker structure and has the support performance and the housing is of the hard and smooth ceramic phase, so that the light microsphere has the advantages of light weight, flowability, compression resistance and flexibility, is suitable for the stone paper, is excellent in processing flowability, and light in weight, and resists compression without being crushed.
