The invention discloses wear-resisting aluminum oxide ceramic and a preparation method thereof. The ceramic comprises the following raw materials in parts by weight: 80-120 parts of aluminum oxide, 10-20 parts of chromic oxide, 10-20 parts of calcium oxide, 4-8 parts of ammonium oxide, 5-10 parts of silver oxide, 5-12 parts of a surfactant and 9-12 parts of a cosurfactant. The preparation method comprises the following steps: placing the aluminum oxide, the chromic oxide, the calcium oxide, the ammonium oxide, the silver oxide, the surfactant and the cosurfactant in an electric furnace, increasing the temperature slowly to 1,200-1,300DEG C, performing heat preservation for 2-3h, and performing natural cooling. According to the ceramic, the chromic oxide activates aluminum oxide lattices, promotes aluminum oxide sintering, improves the hardness of the aluminum oxide ceramic, and enhances the wear-resisting property, compressive resistance and bending resistance.
