Assembled lead-foamed aluminum composite damper for building vibration reduction
The invention provides an assembled lead-foamed aluminum composite damper for building vibration reduction. The damper is a novel composite type energy-dissipating and vibration-reducing device formed by connecting three blocks of foamed aluminum composites together through lead-core bars. The assembled lead-foamed aluminum composite damper for building vibration reduction has the advantages that the damper takes full advantages of three-dimensionally-communicated high damping characteristics of the foamed aluminum composites and initial shearing stiffness and ductility of lead cores; the foamed aluminum composites are formed by filling holes in foamed aluminum with viscous-elastic materials, and as long as the composites vibrate structurally, mutual displacement between interfaces of the viscous-elastic materials and the foamed aluminum in the damper is prone to occurring, so that high-damping frictional energy-dissipating effects are achieved; since the initial shearing stiffness of the lead cores is higher than that of the foamed aluminum composites, during small-amplitude vibration, only the foamed aluminum composites reciprocate to dissipate energy; during large-amplitude vibration, the lead and the foamed aluminum composites move jointly to dissipate energy together, so that high-damping energy-dissipating effects are achieved.
