The invention discloses an asphalt mixture, an asphalt mixture preparation method and application of oil sand to preparation of the asphalt mixture. The asphalt mixture is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: asphalt, oil sand, broken stone, mineral powder, an additive, a modifier and other fillers. In the traditional asphalt mixture process, oil sand serves as a filler (fine aggregate) of the asphalt mixture for the first time. By use of organic oleophylic ingredients such as heavy oil and asphaltene in the oil sand components and the principle that like dissolves like, the bonding strength between asphalt and aggregate is improved, and the probability of 'looseness' of traditional asphalt roads under the large-temperature-difference condition is effectively reduced. According to the asphalt mixture preparation method, oil sand serves as fine aggregate to reduce the waste of oil sand resources, and particularly in the north cold climate regions of China, oil sand can be obtained from local sources, so that the transport cost is lowered.
