The thermal insulation material comprises the following raw materials in parts by weight: 30-40 parts of pearlife, 10-20 parts of phosphorus slag, 3-5 parts of glass fiber, 4-8 parts of phenolic resin, 3-5 parts of polyether polyol, 1-3 parts of magnesium oxide and 2-3 parts of calcium lignosulphonate. The thermal insulation material is prepared by the steps of mixing the raw materials in batches according to the parts by weight, stirring, heating, drying and the like. According to the thermal insulation material, the raw materials cooperate with each other, the defects of a traditional polyurethane thermal insulation material are avoided while simplicity and high efficiency are achieved, meanwhile, waste phosphorus slag is used as one of the raw materials, waste is turned into wealth, environment protection is facilitated, and the cost is reduced.
