The invention relates to building construction, in particular to a construction method of a buried water stop belt. The method comprises the following steps that waste steel bars are recycled; the recycled waste steel bars are machined to obtain positioning steel bars, and the middles of the positioning steel bars are machined to be a bent structure; the positioning steel bars are perpendicular towall and plate steel bars, and the positioning steel bars and structural reinforcing steel bars are fixedly connected; the positioning reinforcing steel bars are symmetrically placed, so that the positioning reinforcing steel bars are symmetrically arranged on the two sides of a preset position of the buried water stop belt, wherein the preset position of the buried water stop belt is located onthe inner sides of the bent portions of the positioning steel bars; the buried water stop belt penetrates through the symmetrical bent portions of the positioning steel bars to form an open loop structure, and the buried water stop belt is centrally arranged; and concrete is poured. By adopting the construction method of the buried water stop belt, construction is convenient, the cost is reduced,energy is saved, the environment is protected, and the problem of easy disturbance of the water stop belt is well solved.
