The invention discloses a using method of a home decoration pointing robot. The home decoration pointing robot comprises a trimming device, a positioning device, a cleaning device, a pointing agent extruding device and a controller; when in use, an infrared ray of an infrared ray demarcation device is aligned with a brick joint of decoration bricks, so that a cutting line of the trimming device isconsistent with the infrared ray; the controller is used for controlling the trimming device, the positioning device, the cleaning device and the pointing agent extruding device to work, a vacuum pump and a vacuum chuck are controlled to enable a horizontal guide rail to be tightly sucked on brick surfaces, a trimming electric pushing rod is controlled to drive a trimming wheel to lift, the trimming wheel is driven to trim the brick joint by using a trimming motor, a sliding base is driven to drive the trimming wheel to move along the infrared ray by using a moving motor, and the brick jointis cleaned by using the cleaning device; and a pointing lifting electric pushing rod is used for extruding a bottled pointing agent, the pointing agent is extruded to the brick joint through a pointing nozzle of the bottled pointing agent, mechanical operation of floor tile pointing decoration is implemented, and the efficiency and quality of decoration pointing are improved.
