When the joint pointing machineis used, an infrared ray of an infrared ray emitter is aligned to a brickwork joint of decoration bricks, and the cutting path of the cutting machine is made consistent with the infrared ray; the cutting machine, the cutting positioning device and the joint pointing agent extrusion device are controlled by the controller to work; a vacuum pump and a vacuum chuck are controlled to firmly suck a horizontal guide rail on the brick surface, a cutting electric push rod is controlled to drive a cutting wheel to rise or fall, a motor drives the cutting wheel and an exhaust fan to rotate, the brickwork joint is cut and trimmed through the cutting wheel, a horizontal electric push rod drives the cutting wheel to move along the infrared ray through a sliding base, and the brickwork joint is cleanedthrough the exhaust fan and a filter; and a joint pointing rising and falling electric push rod squeezes a joint pointing agent bottle, and a joint pointing agent is squeezed to the brickwork joint bymeans of a joint pointing nozzle of the joint pointing agent bottle. By the adoption of the joint pointing machine for smart home decoration, mechanical operation of brickwork joint pointing is achieved, and the decoration joint pointing efficiency and quality are improved.
