The invention discloses foamed light soil based on solid waste resources and a preparation method thereof. The foamed light soil is prepared from an admixture, granite rock ballast powder, activated silicon-aluminum substance material, and camphone-2 powder according to the following formula, by mass, 25%-40% of the admixture, 40%-65% of the granite rock ballast powder, 3%-21% of the chemical additives, and 1%-5% of the activated silicon-aluminum substance materials; the sum of the mass percent of the admixture and the mass percent of the admixture is 100%; the foam in the foamed light soil accounts for 0-50% of the volume of the foamed light soil, and the foam is formed by physical foaming of a foaming agent and meets any value of the apparent density ranging from 20-60 kg/m3. According to the embodiment of the invention, the preparation of the foamed light soil can be realized based on the solid waste, the nervous energy utilization is relieved, and the foamed light soil is high in strength, less in moisture, quick to dry, good in bonding and shaping, and convenient to use.
