The invention provides a steel column mounting error adjusting device and method. The steel column mounting error adjusting device is mounted between a concrete foundation and a steel column base andcomprises an adjusting device body and a control device, the adjusting device body comprises a fixed base plate and a plurality of lifting moving top plates, the moving top plates are symmetrically arranged on the upper surface of the fixed base plate, and the positions, corresponding to the moving top plates, of the fixed base plate are provided with bolted through holes correspondingly; the control device comprises pressure sensors and further comprises a controller and an operation screen which are integrally arranged, each set of pressure sensors is evenly arranged on the outer circle of the upper surface of the corresponding moving top plate, the pressure sensors and the controller are detachably and electrically connected, and the controller can manually or automatically control themoving top plates to ascend and descend. A steel column is finely adjusted by the error adjusting device through manual or automatic control over ascending and descending of the moving top plates, therisk of manual operation is reduced, and the advantages of high sensitivity, high precision and intelligentization are achieved.
