The invention provides a method for dredging sludge in a buried culvert of a river channel. According to the method, a temporary device for screening the sludge is constructed in the buried culvert and comprises a peripheral supporting structure constructed on the bottom surface of the buried culvert, a steel-wire screen, an impervious structure and diagonal bracings; a sludge screening pool is formed by the peripheral supporting structure, and a certain interval is formed between the screening pool and the side wall of the buried culvert to allow constructors to pass; the steel-wire screen istaken as a screening filter screen of a screening device to be fixed at a certain height of the peripheral supporting structure and divides the screening pool into an upper layer and a lower layer, the upper layer is an intercepting space for construction and household waste, and the lower layer is a sludge pool; the impervious structure is arranged outside the peripheral supporting structure; and a hole is formed in the peripheral supporting structure wall below the steel-wire screen and used for allowing a mud suction pipe of a dredging vehicle on the ground to be introduced therein. According to the method for dredging sludge in the buried culvert of the river channel, the sludge and the construction and household waste can be automatically separated, and support is provided for directabsorption, transportation and transfer of the sludge by the dredging vehicle.
