The invention discloses a bridge stay cable ice and snow removing robot. According to the technology, an intelligent climbing device is formed and installed on a stay cable, the intelligent climbing device is fixed to the stay cable through a limiter and a hydraulic gripper, an electro-hydraulic telescopic rod drives a front arm rod and a rear arm rod to move in a bent mode, climbing is achieved,and therefore power is provided for a snow removing shovel, and ice and snow on the stay cable are removed; the ice and snow removing device can move forwards and backwards to any position of the staycable and can be suspended at any time in the moving process; when the climbing device moves to the end of the stay cable, the distance between the device and the end of the stay cable is sensed through the distance measuring sensor, and the trend of the climbing device is intelligently switched when the preset warning distance is reached; the device can be remotely controlled through remote control; all components of the device are made of high-strength light materials.
