The high-purity aluminum oxide ceramic is prepared from the following components in percentage by weight: 95 to 98 percent of nanoscale aluminum oxide, 0.2 to 1.0 percent of zirconium oxide, 0.5 to 1.0 percent of calcium oxide, 0.3 to 1.0 percent of cerium oxide and 0.1 to 2.0 percent of dispersing agent. According to the high-purity aluminum oxide ceramic provided by the invention, the cerium oxide material is added, so that the conductivity coefficient and the fracture toughness of the high-purity aluminumoxide ceramic are improved; according to the preparation method of the high-purity aluminum oxide ceramic, a microwave heating method is adopted to replace a traditional heating method, the heating effect is good, energy consumption is low, the time is short, the surface is smooth, the operation method is simple and easy to implement, and the preparation method is environmentally friendly.
