The invention discloses a preparation method of a building sound insulation material. The preparation method comprises the following steps of preparing a honeycomb-shaped base plate; pouring foaming materials into small holes in the base plate; grinding the foaming materials on the surface of the base plate; smearing gel on the two faces of the base plate; adhering two elastic bodies to the surface of the gel; and sequentially binding sound absorption layers, cellucotton layers and outer base layers to the surfaces of the elastic bodies through adhesives. According to the method, by arrangingthe honeycomb-shaped base plate, the foaming materials, the two elastic bodies, the sound absorption layers, the cellucotton layers and the like, the good sound insulation and shock absorption effectscan be achieved.
