The curtain wall comprises a keel, a curtain wall unit, a pressing plate and a locking assembly, wherein the keel is horizontally arranged on a wall surface, the curtain wall unit is fixed between the pressing plate and the keel through the locking assembly, an installing groove is formed in the side, away from the wall surface, of the keel in the length direction, the cross section of the installing groove is trapezoidal, the locking assembly comprises a fixing bolt and a locking piece, the locking piece is arranged in the installing groove, the fixing bolt penetrates through the pressing plate to be connected to the locking piece, the locking piece comprises two symmetrically-arranged trapezoidal blocks and a driving piece, the opposite faces of the two trapezoidal blocks are each provided with a positioning groove, the driving piece is arranged between the two trapezoidal blocks, the two ends of the driving piece extend into the positioning groove, the fixing bolt penetrates through the driving piece to be in threaded connection with the driving piece, the fixing bolt rotates to drive the driving piece to move towards the pressing plate, and the driving piece moves towards the pressing plate to drive the two trapezoidal blocks to move away from each other. The curtain wall and the installation method thereof have the effect of conveniently and quickly installing the curtain wall.
