The photo-thermal energy storage power generation system comprises a water storage device, a power generation device and a covering device, the water storage device comprises an upper water storage pool, a lower water storage pool and a water way communicating with the upper water storage pool and the lower water storage pool, and the power generation device comprises a water turbine arranged in the water way and a power generator connected with the water turbine. The covering device comprises a light gathering plate, a condensation plate and a confluence plate which are connected in sequence, the light gathering plate is arranged above the lower water storage pool, the condensation plate is arranged above the lower water storage pool and the upper water storage pool, and the confluence plate is connected with the upper water storage pool. According to the photo-thermal energy storage power generation system, photo-thermal drive hydroelectric generation is adopted, heavy metal or high-temperature heat conduction and storage materials do not need to be applied, the temperature of water in the lower water storage pool can be kept below the local water saturation temperature during photo-thermal heat collection evaporation, the high-temperature operation working condition is effectively avoided, environmental pollution is avoided, and cleanliness and environmental protection are higher.
