The invention relates to an intelligent binding method for a reinforcing mesh. The intelligent binding method comprises the following steps that 1, a reinforcing steel bar frame is built according to an infrastructure drawing; 2, reinforcing steel bar intersection points of the reinforcing steel bar frame are obtained; 3, information of the steel bar intersection points is input into a binding robot, and the binding robot runs according to a preset starting point and binds multiple steel bar intersection points at a time; 4, whether binding of the current steel bar intersection is completed or not is judged; 5, if binding is not completed at the current steel bar intersection points, running of the binding robot is stopped, and the steel bar intersection points are bound again through the binding robot; and 6, the binding robot completes the steering action and binds the steel bar intersection points till all the steel bar intersection points are traversed. The intelligent binding method for the reinforcing mesh has the advantages of improving the reinforcing steel bar bundling efficiency and reducing the labor intensity of manual reinforcing steel bar bundling.
