The invention relates to the technical field of construction engineering equipment, and provides an intelligent binding device for a construction reinforcing mesh, which comprises a rack, a binding mechanism, a longitudinal moving mechanism and a detection sensing mechanism, the bundling mechanism is used for bundling steel bars; the longitudinal moving mechanism is used for driving the rack to move longitudinally; the longitudinal moving mechanism comprises a clamping groove wheel, a clamping plate, a first driving piece and a second driving piece. The two ends of the clamping groove wheel are rotationally connected with guide rods. The clamping plates are slidably connected to the guide rods in the axial direction of the clamping groove wheels. The first driving piece is used for driving the clamping plates to get close to or away from each other. The second driving part is used for driving the clamping groove wheel to rotate; and the detection sensing mechanism is used for obtaining process parameter information of the reinforcing steel bars, and the effect of improving the bundling quality is achieved. The invention further provides a binding method of the building reinforcing mesh. The binding method comprises the steps that the reinforcing mesh is arranged according to an infrastructure design drawing; the intelligent bundling device is used for bundling.
