The invention relates to an intelligent binding machine for a reinforcing mesh and a binding method thereof. The intelligent binding machine for the reinforcing mesh comprises a reinforcing bar binding platform; an operation control module is connected with and controls a moving mechanism, a wire feeding mechanism and a binding mechanism; the moving mechanism comprises a moving platform and walking shafts, the walking shafts are arranged on the two sides of the reinforcing bar binding platform, the moving platform is slidably connected to the walking shafts, and the moving platform is locatedabove the reinforcing bar binding platform; the wire feeding mechanism is arranged above the moving platform, and a steel wire of a whole steel wire binding reinforcing bar is installed on the wire feeding mechanism and conveyed to the binding mechanism through the wire feeding mechanism; and the binding mechanism comprises a binding manipulator, a binding machine and a detection camera, the binding machine and the detection camera are both connected to the binding manipulator, the detection camera positions and detects the position of a to-be-bound point and feeds back the position to the binding manipulator, and the binding manipulator drives the binding machine to bind the to-be-bound point. The binding manipulator cooperates with visual positioning judgment to conduct binding, high-speed binding is achieved, and a large number of manpower resources are saved.
