The electrothermal ceramic material provided by the invention contains cordierite and is matched with some trace non-metallic oxides according to a proportion, so that the electrothermal ceramic material which can be heated to a high temperature of 1000 DEG C only in ten seconds, is rapid in heating, uniform in heating, long in service life and low in cost, and can save 30-50% of energy can be prepared; the device has great significance for energy conservation and emission reduction in the electric heating market.
