The invention relates to a connecting assembly and a building structure, the connecting assembly comprises a first sleeve, a second sleeve, a middle sleeve, a connecting sleeve and an inserting rod, the connecting sleeve comprises a first connecting part and an elastic part which are connected with each other, the elastic part comprises a plurality of elastic pieces, a gap is formed between every two adjacent elastic pieces, and the width of the elastic pieces changes; the two ends of the inserting rod are fixedly connected to the first sleeve and the first connecting part correspondingly. The elastic part is located on the side, relatively close to the first sleeve, of the first connecting part. The middle sleeve extends into and is fixed in the second sleeve; the connecting sleeve can be inserted into the middle sleeve along with the inserting rod, and the elastic part can elastically contract into the middle sleeve and can elastically expand to abut against the end, relatively away from the first sleeve, of the middle sleeve. According to the connecting assembly provided by the invention, stress can be quickly dispersed to different parts when the elastic sheet is pressed through the width change of the elastic sheet, so that the stress concentration phenomenon is avoided, the overall bearing capacity of the elastic sheet is effectively improved, and the connecting reliability of the connecting assembly is improved.
