The invention provides a cement-based battery and a preparation method thereof. The cement-based battery comprises a conductive cement base and a plurality of battery bodies which are connected in series in the conductive cement base, the conductive cement base is formed by pouring a cement-based electrolyte material, the cement-based electrolyte material comprises the following components in percentage by weight: 14.9%-65.0% of cement, 0.1%-2.8% of a conductive material, 0-71.7% of fine aggregate, 0-0.53% of a water reducing agent and 21.1-40% of water, and the fluidity of the cement-based electrolyte material is greater than or equal to 160mm. The cement-based battery comprises a plurality of battery bodies which are connected in series, so that the total energy storage capacity is improved, stable current can be provided for a long time under the condition that an external power supply is not used, and corresponding structural functions are borne under the condition that extra space of a building is not occupied. The preparation method is simple, raw materials are easy to obtain, and economic benefits are high.
