The steel slag asphalt concrete comprises the following components in parts by weight: 55-85 parts of steel slag fine aggregate, 10-15 parts of asphalt, 75-100 parts of coarse aggregate and 5-10 parts of filler, 1-3 parts of magnesium fluosilicate and 0.5-2 parts of a silane coupling agent. The preparation method comprises the following steps: mixing the filler with asphalt under a heating condition to obtain asphalt mortar; mixing the steel slag fine aggregate with the coarse aggregate to obtain a mixture; under a heating condition, uniformly mixing the mixture with asphalt mortar, cooling, adding magnesium fluosilicate and a silane coupling agent, and continuously and uniformly mixing, so as to obtain the steel slag asphalt concrete. The steel slag asphalt concrete provided by the invention has the characteristics of high stability, high strength and strong impact resistance.
