The invention discloses an underwater tunnel with inverted piles and a construction method thereof, and is characterized in that the underwater tunnel comprises a tunnel pipe joint and the inverted piles, and the tunnel pipe joint comprises pile connectors; the construction method comprises the following main construction steps that (1) prefabrication of tunnel pipe joints and piles is completed; (2) pile construction is completed; (3) floating and sinking the tunnel pipe joint to a set position, and enabling the top of the pile to extend into the pile connector; (4) one end of the tunnel pipe joint to be installed is connected with one end of the installed adjacent tunnel pipe joint, and temporary positioning of the tunnel pipe joint to be installed in water is completed; the construction method has the main advantages that a cofferdam is not needed during construction, navigation is not affected, the construction period is short, and the construction method is environmentally friendly.
