The invention provides a method for preparing a foamed ceramic filter by using waste chrome corundum, and relates to the field of solid waste utilization. The method comprises the following steps: grinding and screening the waste chrome corundum to obtain fine particles, medium particles and coarse particles; mixing the fine particles with cerium oxide and lanthanum oxide to obtain a first mixture, mixing the medium particles with zirconium oxide to obtain a second mixture, and mixing the coarse particles with aluminum oxide to obtain a third mixture; calcining the first mixture, the second mixture and the third mixture for 2-4 times under the condition of 1000-1300 DEG C, and then grinding and mixing to obtain a fourth mixture; mixing the fourth mixture with glycerol and solvent oil, stirring by adopting a double-planet stirrer to obtain slurry, dipping the slurry by taking soft polyurethane foam as a carrier, and then extruding and drying to obtain a blank; and sintering the blank, and cooling to obtain the foamed ceramic filter. According to the method provided by the invention, the foamed ceramic filter with excellent performance is prepared by fully utilizing the waste chrome corundum.
