Provided are: a window material or a light-transmitting roof material which can autonomously change white turbidity in accordance with temperature, has an uncomplicated structure, and is easy to manufacture; a building provided with the window material and/or the light-transmitting roof material; and a vehicle, a ship, or an aircraft. This window material or light-transmitting roof material is provided with at least one light-transmitting substrate layer and at least one adhesive layer, and the adhesive layer comprises an adhesive composition containing 1-20 parts by mass of a temperature-sensitive non-crosslinked polymer and 1-100 parts by mass of temperature-sensitive crosslinked microparticles per 100 parts by mass of an adhesive. The refractive index of the temperature-sensitive crosslinked microparticles decreases as the temperature increases, and the refractive index decrease rate is greater in the vicinity of the melting point of the temperature-sensitive crosslinked microparticles than in a temperature region other than in the vicinity of the melting point, and the adhesive force of the adhesive composition decreases as the temperature increases. And the adhesive force reduction rate near the melting point of the thermo-sensitive non-crosslinked polymer is greater than in the temperature region other than near the melting point of the thermo-sensitive non-crosslinked polymer.
