Provided are: a window material or a light-transparent roof material that is capable of autonomously changing the degree of cloudiness thereof according to the temperature, that does not have a complex structure, and is easy to produce; and a building, vehicle, ship, or aircraft provided with said window material and/or light-transparent roof material.This window material or light-transparent roof material is provided with at least one light-transparent base material layer and at least one tacky layer, wherein: the tacky layer comprises a tacky composition containing 1-100 parts by mass of temperature-sensitive microparticles with respect to 100 parts by mass of a pressure-sensitive adhesive; the refractive index of the temperature-sensitive microparticles decreases with increases in temperature; and the refractive index rate decrease, which is the amount of decrease in refractive index per 1°C, for the temperature-sensitive microparticles is greater near the melting point of the temperature-sensitive microparticles than in temperature ranges that are not near the melting point of the temperature-sensitive microparticles.
