A palisade fencing connector
The palisade fencing connector or fishplate 30 comprises a steel plate with a first and a second face, a pair of parallel long sides, a pair of parallel short sides, and a pair of apertures 32a,32b located proximal the short sides and extending between the first and second faces. The apertures are separated by a central region of the plate which is provided with at least one fold line extending partially into the first face and running perpendicular to the long sides. A weather resistant coating is applied after forming the fold line(s). The or each fold line may comprise a surface groove 33 extending at least partially across the plate. There may be a primary fold line at a mid-point of the plate, optionally with two or more secondary fold lines (e.g., shallower grooves 34,35) arranged either side thereof. The fold line facilitates consistent bending of the connector by installation operatives.
