A decking board edge support system comprises a floor member having a leg 26a extending from a surface portion. A floor support portion defines a cantilevered portion with a free end which may be formed when the board is cut. A floor support member 50 having a first flange 54 extending from a base member 52 is arranged between the surface portion and an underlying surface 16 such that the first flange supports the support portion between the leg and the free end. The support member may comprise a second flange 56 extending from the base and angled away from the leg in use. The first flange may include a formation 62 for receiving the second flange of an identical support member. Also claimed are decking board support members comprising a base portion, first and second flanges extending from the base portion, either with a receiving formation on the first flange or where the second flange is angled inwardly towards the first flange.
