PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a seismic isolation effect at a low cost.SOLUTION: There is provided a seismic isolator that is provided between an upper structure and a lower structure and restrains oscillation of the upper structure upon the occurrence of earthquake. The seismic isolator comprises a supporting body for supporting the upper structure in such a way that the upper structure can be displaced relatively with respect to the lower structure and having no function for recovering a relative positional relationship between the upper structure and the lower structure; a lock mechanism for prohibiting a relative displacement between the upper structure and the lower structure normally and permitting a relative displacement between the upper structure and the lower structure upon the occurrence of earthquake while recovering power for recovering a relative positional relationship between the upper structure and the lower structure does not act; and a return mechanism for returning a position of the upper structure with respect to the lower structure to other position before the displacement after conversion of the earthquake.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】低コストで免震効果の向上を図る。【解決手段】上部構造体と下部構造体との間に設けられ、地震の際に上部構造体の揺れを抑える免震装置であって、上部構造体を下部構造体に対して相対変位可能に支承し、かつ、上部構造体と下部構造体との相対的な位置関係を復元させる機能を有さない支承体と、平常時には、上部構造体と下部構造体との相対変位を禁止し、地震の発生時には、上部構造体と下部構造体との相対的な位置関係を復元させるための復元力が作用しない状態で、当該上部構造体と当該下部構造体との相対変位を許可するロック機構と、地震が収束した後に、下部構造体に対する上部構造体の位置を変位前の位置に復帰させるための復帰機構と、を備える。【選択図】図1
