To provide a seismic isolator which secures a seismic isolation property, and can secure vertical stiffness, and a seismic isolation stand.SOLUTION: A seismic isolator comprises a lower plate 3, a moving board 5 arranged on the lower plate 3, and an upper plate 7 arranged on the moving board 5. Lower plate rails 9, 9 extending in a pair of Y-directions are arranged at an upper face of the lower plate 3, a pair of upper plate rails 11, 11 extending in an X-direction while intersecting with the lower plate rails 9, 9 are arranged at a lower face of the upper plate 7, and a pair of lower plate rollers 13, 13 rolling on a pair of the lower plate rails 9, 9 with axial lines set at one opposing corner of a virtual square when setting the virtual square having a substantially-square shape in a plane view on the moving board 5, and a pair of upper plate rollers 15, 15 moving on a pair of the upper plate rails 11, 11 with axial lines set at the other opposing corner of the virtual square are arranged at the moving board 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
